The Registry department of Chuna Sacco is a central repository responsible for collection,
storage and management of all its records throughout its lifecycle of creation, maintenance and
use and disposition.
CHUNA SACCO registry in its statement of responsibility, cuts across other departments in
provision of services to staff and members effectively and efficiently.
It is responsible for the following functions:
 Creation and Registration of New and Rejoining Member Accounts
 Development and implementation of a Records Management Policy
 Updating of Members Personal Accounts
 Digitization of Information Records
 Classification and Indexing of Records
 Receive and Dispatch of Inward and Outgoing Correspondences
 Answering member Queries
 Archiving and records keeping
 Records Appraisal and Disposal
 Security, Access and storage of Records
